Welcome to Wladiwoodstock: Based on the slogan "Love, peace and brass music" around 50.000 people get together at Woodstock of Brass Music - Europe's largest brass music festival. If you are thinking of Alpine folk music and "lederhosen", you are sorely mistaken. Swing, Rap, Jazz, Ska, Elektro, Reggae - nowadays brass music is just as diverse as the visitors at this festival.
Dirndl dresses and brass music instead of Hippies and peace pipes
Brass music is often, and legitimately, associated with "lederhosen", dirndl dresses, beer and tradition. But brass music includes much more than the typical „um-ta-ta“. May it be Swing, Jazz, Funk, Ska, Reggae or electronic music– all these genres feature brass music. The mission of "Woodstock of brass music" festival is to show the diversity of brass styles. Woodstock of Brass Music - Europe's largest brass music festival
In its 7th edition in 2017, 50.000 visitors came to enjoy 4 days of brass music at the largest festival of this kind in Europe. Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Belgium - the visitors come from all parts of Europe. The "Woodstockers" are different, a diverse festival community, that has one thing in common: celebrating their favorite music!
Brass, brass, brass!
Musicians play from dusk till dawn all over the festival area. One starts a tune and others join in - every little space turns into a stage and every man or woman becomes a performer. But that's not all - the festival's line up is nicely put together: the charming Bavarian "LaBrassBanda", female rapper Fiva accompanied by the "Jazzrausch Big Band", classics like Ernst Hutter and his "Egerländer Musikanten" and many more. Over the course of 4 days 100 bands enter the stage.
Woodstock of brass music: camping offers
In addition the festival features the so-called “Woodworld” - an exhibition space outdoors where visitors can buy instruments and accessories from over 20 different exhibitors.
Caravan and tent areas, the "Brass Vegas" lodges and the Tipi-villages "Geronimoos" and "Wigwamling" offer a warm and laid-back atmosphere. The newest addition: Our charming lodges in „Wladiwoodstock“. Book our Molos here

The Woodstock of Brass Music features Europe's largest temporary brass band. In 2017, 10.000 brass musicians performed 6 pieces together - or more like 9.999 brass musicians and one guitarist, who made it to the front row, while a little girl stole everyone's heart. Watch the clip below!

Festival area Woodstock of Brass Music
The Woodstock of Brass Music takes place in the Arco-Area – named after the Count of Arco and his legendary beer. The area is located within the Inn-area in community of 1,200 inhabitants and is surrounded by idillic forests and a creek, that has probably cooled off the most brass musicians world-wide.
Directions Woodstock of Brass Music
The community is located in the Inn-area, close to the Inn-Route A8 (direct exit). Please keep in mind, that vigniettes for using the autobahn are obligatory in Austria. If you want to avoid buying one and you are coming from Germany, you should take the last possible exit before reaching the border (in Pocking). More direction details
Woodstock of Brass Music Camping & Opening Hours
The camping area is opens on Thursday, 28th June, at 1:00 pm and closes on Monday, 2nd July 2018 at 12:00 pm. Arrival is possible at any time during the opening hours. More camping and parking details
