8 ACTIVITIES IN AND AROUND HARLESIEL

Harlesiel is located directly on the Wadden Sea, where the Harle flows into the North Sea. Between blooming salt marshes and the harbor lies the beach, from which on clear days you can see as far as the islands of Wangerooge and Spiekeroog, watch breathtaking sunsets and observe the tides. The North Sea resort of Carolinensiel-Harlesiel has 3 harbors: small sailors and flat-bottomed ships dock at the historic museum harbor. Motorboats and sailing yachts moor at the marina and the ferry to Wangerooge docks at the outer harbor. Harlesiel is the ideal starting point for numerous excursions to the islands or East Frisia.

Mudflat hike

At the Wattwanderzentrum Ostfriesland you can book various mudflat hiking tours. Entertaining national park guides show you the diverse flora and fauna of the Wadden Sea in tours lasting one to several hours. You can expect a hands-on Wadden Sea experience with mussels, crabs and lugworms. The tours are suitable for young and old, but require wading shoes or rubber boots and weather-appropriate clothing.

The sanitary facilities (separate showers, sinks, separate WCs) are located directly next to the lodge camp and can be used. Currently, there may be restrictions or waiting times due to the distance rules. We ask for your understanding. All other facilities of the campsite can also be used.

CHECK-IN
The check-in is possible on the day of arrival from 15.00 o'clock. Please check in at the campsite info (opening hours until 5:30 p.m., if you arrive later please check in the next day). You open the door by entering the six-digit numerical code that you have received from us in advance by e-mail.

CHECK-OUT
Check-out is possible on the day of departure until 11.00 a.m. at the latest. Before you leave, please dispose of your trash in the trash cans seen before at the campground main house and if possible clear table & chairs into the lodge. Then just close the door (does not need to be locked) and have a good trip home.

The beds in our lodges are freshly made. Towels can be rented at the reception for 5,00 Euro per stay/per towel.

The guest fee is 3,00 Euro per adult (from 16 years)/per day and 1,50 Euro per child/per day (4- 15 years). You can get the guest card directly at the reception.

The free parking lot is located next to the campsite just a few meters from the camp. You will receive a parking card from us, which you must please put clearly visible in the car.

Yes, there is a free public Wi-Fi. You can get the access code at the reception.

ELECTRICITY/HEATERS
As electricity is limited on the campsite, we ask you to use the heating only on the lowest setting. This way the lodge will be sufficiently heated and you will avoid a power outage. Power outages may occur on rare occasions. Here is a quick self-help guide: First check if the fuse of your lodge has blown. There are two fuse switches on the top left above the bed. Both switches must face the window. If not, one fuse has blown and you can flip the switch again without risk.

If the power still doesn't work, it is due to the fuse at the power distributor. Please consult the janitor of the campsite:

LOCK
We use a smart lock from Nuki. The lock can be opened by numerical code (input via the keypad to the left of the door) or key. If you have any problems, you can always get a spare key at our reception or call +49 159 01340863.

HOOKING THE DOOR WITH ROPE
With the rope at the bottom right of your lodge you can hook the door handle so that the wind does not slam the door permanently.

HANGING MATS
We have set up hammocks at camp for community use. Relax and unwind! You don't need to set your alarm early in the morning to cover the hammocks with your towel.

TERRACE WITH CHAIR AND TABLE
At the North Sea it can be very stormy at times. Because of the strong wind and because the campsite is only partially guarded, we ask you to put folding table and chair under the right bed, if possible in the evening and after checkout to the lodge. Thank you very much!

BEACH BASKETS
We have a few beach chairs for community use.

KIOSK/RECEPTION
There is a reception/kiosk where you can check in and out and get snacks, drinks, sand toys, wading socks and souvenirs. Breakfast is available for 14,50 Euro (breakfast basket).

Our outdoor kitchen is equipped with the most important things. You will find a microwave, a cooktop, a grill, a mini-oven and a basic set of dishes. As the kitchen is for communal use, we ask you to be considerate of other guests and to respect the following rules:

- Coordinate with other guests
- For washing up you can use the washing up facilities of the campsite.
- Please put the dishes back in the kitchen after use and do not "hoard" them in the lodge, so that other guests can use them as well.
- If something is broken, please give us a short info to harlesiel@mymolo.de
- Where food is found in nature, there are creatures (especially seagulls, wild rabbits) that like to steal some of it. Please be careful not to leave food in the open or drop it on the ground.
